A family comedy told through the separate stories of different family members. In Season 3 of "Life in Pieces," the Hughes family gets their kitchen destroyed, forcing Heather (Betsy Brandt) and Tim (Dan Bakkedahl) to temporarily move the family to Heather's parents' house. Though John (James Brolin) seems okay with it, the move creates tension between Heather and Joan (Dianne Wiest). Meanwhile, Greg (Colin Hanks) and Jen (Zoe Lister-Jones) try to wean their baby Lark from her pacifier.
